Guinness Book of Records ‘09
Charlie Bell, 35, breaks the world record by moving 17kgs of maggots in an hour - using only his mouth. The old record stood at 15kgs. Even the sight of a wiggly maggot is enough to turn most peopleÕs gut but a London prankster moved 17KG of them in his mouth! Charlie Bell, 35, has just smashed the Guinness World Record by transporting about 2sq foot of live maggots in one hour using only his chops. ÒIt was disgusting,Ó said Charlie who lives with his long-suffering wife Eneida in Layton, northeast London. ÒI had been practising at home with rice for months but until that day IÕd never had a mouth full of maggots. ÒIÕve handled them a bit on fishing trips but this was a whole new level.Ó Charlie Bell undertook this squeamish record for Sky1 TV show Guiness World Records Smashed! He describes how hard it was to keep going "The hardest part of this record was trying to control my gag reflex, There were bits of their innards and sawdust getting syuck in my teeth" Fame Pictures, Inc - Santa Monica, CA, USA - +1 (310) 395-0500
