Kimbo Slice To Provide Hilarity For The Ultimate Fighter 10

By Akela Talamasca on June 4th, 2009

kimbo-slice-vs-seth-petruzelli1While I’ve always loved the Ultimate Fighter television series, I have to admit that this latest round, with coaches Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson, has left me a little cold. Very few of the fighters are exciting or even any good, and I’m torn between the extremes of Bisping being a complete jackass and Henderson with all the charisma of a Clinton-era Al Gore.

So I was excited to hear that not only will TUF 10 feature coaches Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans, but that notorious “fighter” Kimbo Slice will be one of the 16 contestants to appear on the show, vying for that six-figure contract goal.

Those of you who remember the ridiculous bout between Slice and Seth Petruzelli may well never want to see Slice in the octagon again, but I think that all the guy really needs is the right coaching. It worked wonders for Junie Browning and it could do the same for Slice. But who would you pick to coach him? It might be more entertaining for Rampage to try to give Slice tips, but Evans is a better technical fighter and might actually help Slice learn at least the basics, if not actually evolve his game. Could it be good? Who knows? At least it’s going to wash the taste of Season 9 out of my mouth, and that’s a Good Thing.

why does everyone say bisping is a jackass or trash talker its bullshit, the surposedly trash talking he does his him saying he's going to win the fight. thats not trash talking. bisping is a nice guy and the only guys he doesn't get on with is cameron and damarques who have been giving him shit from the start of the show and then play up to the camera saying bisping is trash talking when it's them. even their team mates said damarques deserved that squirt in the face because he'd been winding bisping up from the start which he did try and apolagise for

americans love talking trash and being cocky, but as soon as someone with a different accent does it they get all threatened by it. Bisping is a better coach and is the only reason to watch the show anyway as there a few good fighters on both teams. Bisping will beat Hendo.

Bisping is the lame! He's childish and OVERATED!!!!. Hendo WILL beat him. He's a lil bitCH remeber when he fought Matt Hamill? That was hillarious! Hamill kicked his ass and SHOULD have WON that fight but since they were in England they gave it to Bisping. How he didnt get dropped by Evans is beyond me but he's a limey chump who needs to get overhimself!

I have to agree with Akela that season 9 is not as good as the previous seasons. I don't like Bisbing, but I do think his team acts more mature than the American team led by Henderson. While I am not satisfied with this season, I will continue watching because I am a devoted MMA fan and I like seeing the fighters who have been featured on the series show their growth when they are fighting in UFC bouts afterwards. As for season 10, I think having Kimbo Slice as a contestant will draw a lot of viewers, but as for his skills, well that remains to be seen. Hopefully he has been getting some coaching since he got his ass handed to him on live TV. I also think a lot of other fighters in the house won't have respect for him and that is going to cause a lot of friction, but again... it will make for good TV and we all know Dana White is all about that.
