St. Louis rapper Ortega Henderson died this morning after succumbing to gunshot wounds he received from a May 16 shooting. The 25-year-old rapper, known on the street as “Tega”, was a part of rap star Nelly’s hip-hop crew, the St. Lunatics. The up-and-comer had been working on albums for both the St. Lunatics and Da Camp (another St. Louis group) at the time of his death.
While the reason for the shooting still remains unclear, fellow St. Lunatics rapper Kyjuan Cleveland had this to say about Henderson, “He got mixed up in the streets, but he was so talented, we thought we could pull him out of it. He was on the right path for a minute, but times are hard and he started getting around the wrong people.”
For those not keeping track, this isn’t the first time a new and talented rapper has been shot in recent times either. Last month rapper Dolla was shot and killed at a mall in Los Angeles. So let’s hope this trend stops here. No need for anymore dead rappers.
A funeral for Henderson is scheduled to take place on Thursday.

he died from shots from May 16? you'd think with that much time spent in the hospital he'd have been just fine. i mean, if it was that serious he'd probably have just died then and there. strange
