Myron Rolle Picks Oxford Over NFL

Myron Rolle, one of the nations best college defensive backs and prospected 1st round draft pick, has decided to bypass the NFL and study at Oxford University in England. The Florida State Safety did the unthinkable this year, earning a Rhodes scholarship while leading his team to an impressive 9-4 record.

Rarely do you see a college athlete recieve such a coveted award, especially for someone as talented as Rolle. His goal is to become a neurosurgeon after his studies in England are complete. He also wants to enter into the 2010 NFL draft. Talk about ambition. He might just be the first NFL player to give a guy a concussion and heal him the next day.

  1. Wow, is this common? I feel like I always here about athletes that give up their education for money, but almost never the other way around. I think that’s pretty cool. Hopefully others will follow suit.
