Jet America Airlines is offering nine dollar fares to the following cities this summer starting on July 13: Toledo, OH., South Bend, Ind., Lansing, Mich., and Melbourne, FL. The Tampa Bay based airlines opened their offices today and are hoping their buzz marketing strategy leads to long-term success. I just don’t see how they’re going to be profitable in the short-run.
The jet only holds nine seats, so even if they sellout they’re only making $81. Fees and other charges will be associated with the initial cost, but I don’t expect that to be over $20-$30 bucks.
However, I must say, Jet America Airlines has created the buzz they were going for online and it would be interesting to see if they actually become profitable over time. If interested in buying some $9 tickets, check out their site, JetAmerica.com, for more information.

The Boeing 737-800s they are using actually have 189 seats, nine of which will be sold for $9.

Lies and more lies.. I have looked at there website and there are no places to find these supposively "$9" flights. It's just a big scam since the website only offers links to expedia, travelocity etc.
