The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Mike Vick was released from a Kansas state prison today after serving a 19-month bid for organizing dog fights. Although released from prision, Vick will still be confined to his home for the next two months as he serves out an agreed upon house arrest sentence. Once the highest paid NFL player, Vick would only be able to hold a job as a construction worker, getting paid $10.00 an hour. If I were him, I’d flip the job scenario into a reality show like TI did and have cameras follow him through his day to day operations.
The NFL have yet to reinstate Vick, but commissioner Roger Goodell has stated that if Vick is remorseful and shows his sincerity to the national public, he may be able to play in the NFL again. The Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank is also pulling for Vick. “Vick has paid his debt to society and merits a second chance…He’s taking positive steps by wanting to work with humane societies and making other changes in his life” said Blank.
