Those poor people. That must suck all kinds of balls.

  31. jpod09 May 14, 2009 - 7:34 pm

I think it would be safe to assume that the reason why so many of these people are Asian is because they have the largest proportionate population, China alone has, what, 1 billion people?

  32. V May 14, 2009 - 7:40 pm

Damn! If these were photo shopped, it’s very real! Oh wait! They are fucking real dumb asses! If there was one wish I could have; I would simply switch these people’s ailments to these crossed-eye trolls always typing photo shopped haha!

A probable reason behind the majority of the cases involving mostly people from Asian descent might be the result that they do represent nearly half of the world’s population. The ratios just plain adds up.

  33. Artzee Chris May 14, 2009 - 8:35 pm

None of these are fake. I have seen alot of these stories on The Discovery Channel, TLC, etc. As a matter of fact De De who has the extreme wart condition that looks like tree trunks, was being forced to be a side show act, before an expert dermatologist from U of Maryland traveled to see him and treat his condition. The Indonesian govt. did not like an outsider stepping in and sweeped him off to a local hospital. They used surgury to try to treat the condition but that was not the right approach. He needed medication to treat the warts from the inside out and kill the virus. Surgury just gets rid of the growth but it justs grows back.

  34. Bunny May 14, 2009 - 8:45 pm

Real or fake-What has happened to so many people to change them into such uncaring and inhumane beings that they thrive on seeing pain in other humans and/or animals as a form of entertainment. What happened to people that have good kind hearts that wish no pain and suffering on anyone else any more than they would wish the same upon themselves? I wish true happiness for everyone and pain for NONE.

  35. Raul May 14, 2009 - 8:54 pm

    NOT PHOTOSHOPPED!

  36. Lanah May 14, 2009 - 9:14 pm

“90%” of them are Asian because there are more Asian people, duh.

  37. Ihate Dumbasses May 14, 2009 - 9:24 pm

I repeat – the tree in the lung IS fake. How the fuck can you think a tree can grow WITHOUT SUNSHINE?

  38. me May 14, 2009 - 9:29 pm

“He has refused medical treatment because he is a Jehovah’s Witness.”

    i lulz

Really, i wasn’t believing all these things before reading this.

  40. Anonymous May 14, 2009 - 11:22 pm

Jehovah’s Witnesses do not refuse all medical treatment. They oppose blood transfusions because of their strict adherence to certain Bible verses. Jehovah’s Witnesses cherish life and health and do accept most medical procedures.

  41. Ace May 14, 2009 - 11:33 pm

these are amazing photos. and they’re all real. “ihate dumbasses” link doesn’t disprove the tree in the lung. all it says is that there are three doctors who are skeptical. got news for you, dumbass: there are people who are skeptical of evolution too. doesn’t make it not true… fucktard…

  42. No May 15, 2009 - 3:30 am

“He has refused medical treatment because he is a Jehovah’s Witness.” – Good luck with that.

He’s not a Jehovah’s Witness, he is a poor prick with no face!!

  43. Fathelee May 15, 2009 - 10:39 am

These are all real. Eventhough it is rare but scientifically evident can be happening.

  44. John May 15, 2009 - 11:00 am

George Lucas could have saved a ton by using half of these people in Star Wars.

  45. Stump Beefgnaw May 15, 2009 - 2:10 pm

“How the fuck can you think a tree can grow WITHOUT SUNSHINE?”

So how the fuck do you explain the fact that seeds sprout UNDER THE FUCKING GROUND where the sun doesn’t reach, Einstein?

  46. Cody Bruce May 15, 2009 - 5:47 pm

LMFAO at John! So wrong, but so funny.

  47. Person.al May 15, 2009 - 7:48 pm

omg , i feel so sorry for those people

  48. Ihate Dumbasses May 15, 2009 - 9:34 pm

Stump, do you see that tree? It’s green. Do you know how things get green? Here’s a hint, it involves THE SUN. Do you know why seeds sprout underground? To reach THE SUN above.
Are you suggesting that trees grow underground or something? Sorry, I don’t speak retard-ese.

  49. Cody Bruce May 15, 2009 - 9:52 pm

    @ Ihate Dumbasses

That’s right. You tell those people.

  50. kalimist May 15, 2009 - 10:00 pm

“So how the fuck do you explain the fact that seeds sprout UNDER THE FUCKING GROUND where the sun doesn’t reach, Einstein?”

I think the problem here was that the “tree” had greenish parts. This of course implies chlorophyll, which wouldn’t exist without sunlight.

  51. Ashish Kalmegh May 15, 2009 - 11:15 pm

I hope these images are fake but I don’t think so :(

  52. Fahmi Reiz May 16, 2009 - 3:47 am

Looking at those photos make my hair stand. I really pity them… Whats going to happen????

  53. crazy "marie" May 16, 2009 - 7:40 am

I feel for these people! They shouldn’t have to suffer!

  54. Kurrus May 16, 2009 - 11:55 am

Those are ’shooped. I can tell from the pixels.

  55. Kurrus May 16, 2009 - 11:58 am

By the way, Stump, seeds sprout under the fucking ground because the seeds have the nutrients the plant requires. Then the plant reaches the surface, deattaches itself from the seed and begins getting energy from inorganic matter and sunlight.

    Learn some biology, moron.

  56. Douglas May 16, 2009 - 12:36 pm

I’ve been keeping a Chode Chart posted right next to my shower. After I whip down my britches before getting into the shower, I do the trusty “swipe-n-sniff” technique, and gauge the odor on a scale from 1-5, with 1 being shower fresh, and 5 being the dirtiest of sweat, shit, and pussyjuice combos.

  57. Ketch May 16, 2009 - 2:01 pm

    @ Ihate Dumbasses:
You totally pwned the soviet surgeons and doctors who removed the GREEN plant from some poor schmucks lungs. Wow, will they feel dumb or what. Sure the lungs have all the moisture and oxygen needed for germination. But, as expert witness Dr. Dumbasses knows, all flowering plants (angiosperms) require light to create chlorophyll.

…but wait, it doesn’t take much research to find out that pines are gymnosperms (not angiosperms), and like algae and photosynthetic bacteria, gymnosperms have enzymes that allow them to create chlorophyll even in the darkest depths of acidic holes, like Ihate.

  58. kriisti May 16, 2009 - 7:22 pm

haha Ihate dumbasses > totally pwnd. It wasn’t shopped u fucking twit, why not research the subject instead of being insistant that you’re the only one with the correct opinion.
It’s ok to be wrong once in a while, in fact, it makes you a bigger person cos then that way you can learn and grow ;)

  59. Simply Ridiculous May 16, 2009 - 11:31 pm

Wow.. This is creepy!! I will have some of these pics in my mind forever!!

  60. Raph May 17, 2009 - 3:22 am

This is one more proof that there is no god.

  61. Random May 17, 2009 - 4:07 am

it’s funny that u guys swear and frivolously pay each other out online and yet u wud never have the guts to do that face-to-face. n it’s worse that most of the comments r about paying other people’s comments out rather than discussing what cud b done to help these ppl. n just cuz these ppl have genetic/physiological defex does not mean there is no god – it’s actually proof that there is God, that the natural consequences of sin our Creator has distanced Himself from nature and therefore nature is deteriorating

  62. RevJSH May 17, 2009 - 3:08 pm

But I thought G-ZU$ died to cleanse us of our sin? Ho’s down G-ZU$ up. Word

  63. Ihate Dumbasses May 17, 2009 - 4:57 pm

Hey my last post was removed – lame. This site sucks, I’m outta here.

lol no it wasn’t. Ok I swear it was missing a second ago…
    *picks the bong back up*

  65. EvylShnukums May 17, 2009 - 11:16 pm

I’d be interested in info as to how to help the people who can’t afford surgery. Surely there must be a way to help these people?

  66. KiKi May 18, 2009 - 12:02 am

So agree with Evyl – I think the best (and most effective) way would be to find out the people who are most to you individually and help that person as directly as possible.

  67. Random May 18, 2009 - 12:08 am

To RevJSH – yeah, JC did die to “cleanse us of our sins” as such. But that doesn’t nullify the consequences of our actions. It’s just like a teenager who crashes their car into someone else’s cuz they were speeding or something – that teenager cud feel genuinely sorry and their parent(s) cud pay for the damage to the other car, but the teenager’s license will still get penalised n there will b an offense against their name.

  68. Cool May 18, 2009 - 4:57 am

These amazing pictures just show how fragile life is. I have seen quite a few programmes on TV featuring some of the people in these pictures. Those who say these images are photoshopped are naive and need to do a bit more research before commenting on what they do not know.

  69. dave May 18, 2009 - 6:09 am

None of these are fake, they all have links to their source for crying out loud!!!

  70. Hirondel May 18, 2009 - 6:21 am

Regarding the issue of whether some or all of these images were altered (’shopped), the more interesting question might be “what sort of sick — albeit very skilled –person would WANT to create such a grotesque and degrading image of another human?”

  71. Dundundun May 18, 2009 - 9:41 am

It’s hard to take people defending religion seriously

  72. BoobiesAreNice May 18, 2009 - 12:24 pm

The massive face tumor looks like peter griffin after he had a stroke.

  73. Alan Richardson May 18, 2009 - 12:33 pm

Amazing pictures. You have to realise how lucky we are to be classed as normal. You have to feel for some of these people.

  74. A nony mouse May 18, 2009 - 2:46 pm

“Jehovah’s Witnesses do not refuse all medical treatment. They oppose blood transfusions because of their strict adherence to certain Bible verses. Jehovah’s Witnesses cherish life and health and do accept most medical procedures.”

but considering that the reason his face is like that is because of swelled blood vessels there is no way he would get through the surgery without needing a transfusion therefore making your point null and void

  75. riddlywalker May 18, 2009 - 4:29 pm

Sod all these stupid comments- why is there no website address where we can all help pay for the operation that some of these people “cannot afford”? instead of starting ridiculous arguements and spouting pious platitudes?

  76. James May 19, 2009 - 4:19 am

Non of these cases are shoped, they have all appeared on legit Medical shows.

  77. me May 19, 2009 - 6:24 am

Ok people plants need sunlight. How does a plant grow without sunlight?? Oh noes! They wouldnt put it on the internet if it wasn’t true!!!!! *psh*

  78. edrup May 19, 2009 - 8:23 am

jeeks if all doz pics are true then am really scared for humanity

  79. Rodney May 19, 2009 - 10:14 am

Even if a couple of these pictures are fake, most if not all of them are real. And what they say to me is that we live in an unjust world. Most of these folks could not afford medical care, and have been forced to live with these brutal conditions. Considering the amount of medical knowledge that exists on the planet, nobody should have to suffer in this extreme way for years and years because of poverty.

  80. mm9221 May 19, 2009 - 2:32 pm

I think the reason so many of these pictures are Chinese or Asian is because there may be no permission required to publish them. In the US, it would be harder to publish these photos and the probability of someone being denied treatment for one reason or another would be unlikely…meaning less occurences perhaps.

  81. Eric Gagen May 19, 2009 - 2:53 pm

Most of these are Chinese because in nearly any other part of the world these people would get the surgery they need – of nothing else medical schools would volunteer to perform the surgeries for teaching purposes – China is the only major country in the world whose government cares so little about it’s people that medical conditions are allowed to reach such extremes. Even in Africa when things get this bad people will do what it takes to get help. Outside some parts of China and some parts of Africa, the entire world has enough subsidized or free medical care to prevent these sorts of things given a little time. A tumor like some of the ones pictured above doesn’t grow overnight and even the poorest people can usually get help eventually.

  82. Someperson May 19, 2009 - 5:18 pm

I know this aint fake. Saw just about all of it on national geo, TLC and discovery.

some in real too since i had to see it myself.

  88. fisher May 20, 2009 - 5:04 pm

I’ve seen several of these at medical and biology sites, and some on TV shows of that nature. I’m not familiar with all of them, but at least the great majority of them are genuine.

  89. aqn May 20, 2009 - 10:34 pm

    @ Eric Gagen May 19, 2009 – 2:53 pm

“China is the only major country in the world whose government cares so little about it’s people that medical conditions are allowed to reach such extremes. Even in Africa when things get this bad people will do what it takes to get help.”

Its not caring about the people, no government actually cares for the people but only or the image the countries give off. African countries seem to need to defend their image more than China does.

  90. lanzalot May 21, 2009 - 3:52 am

for the poor people that need operations and can’t afford them, why don’t overpaid ’sportsmen` like footballers and F1 drivers get a little philanthropic and pay a tiny portion of their huge salaries to help. Also like a previous commentator I don’t want anyone in the world to suffer pain except all politicians and bankers!!

  91. Blah May 21, 2009 - 3:54 am

Perhaps most of them are asian, ’cause they don’t have the money to remove any abnormal growths.

  92. ihateniggers May 21, 2009 - 4:49 am

No but seriously, I feel sorry for these people. It’s just awefull.

  95. Bunny May 21, 2009 - 6:01 pm

I agree with Ketch and Kriisti on the 16th, pays to research 1st. At the same time, I still pose the question-What the hell is wrong with people now that they can’t at least show compassion for others? Is there no one that cares any about the suffering of others just because at the moment there is no suffering for themselves or for their own loved ones? Just remember, that can change in the twinkling of an eye and you or your loved ones can be stricken with suffering unimaginable at any time. Don’t ask for it by being so uncaring and unsympathetic, God can be very unpredictable and choose to teach a lesson using you, your loved ones or even your children (born or not yet born). Don’t do that to your children or any other children! The sins of the fathers are passed down to their children. And NO-I am not free of sin myself by any means. I still wish true happiness to all and pain to NO ONE.

I don’t know about the other images but I’ve seen Dede The ‘Tree Man’ on Discovery. U can try a search on Discovery’s website.

  98. Graeme May 30, 2009 - 9:24 am

Anyone who says this is “shopped” obviously can’t google, or think.

  99. J. Bauer May 31, 2009 - 3:51 am

Clearly photoshopped, look at the pixels

  100. silencer May 31, 2009 - 11:20 am

Hey fuckwad… Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t refuse medical treatment.
    They refuse blood transfusions.

You fuckers really are douchebags, did you know?

  101. pbrain May 31, 2009 - 11:34 pm

You’ll notice that most of the “patients” are of asian origin, most genetic deformities happen because of inbreeding.. asians are heavily inbred – or in rice.

  102. Marius B. June 1, 2009 - 3:18 am

@pbrain: Have you thought that it might be because of the two f’king nuclear bombs that the stupid american government dropped in the zone in the 2nd world war? …it might be because the nuclear experiments (tests) that every f’king stupid country makes in that part of the world?
Somehow i’m glad that all the powerfull nations are affected by this economic crisis.
GOD works in misterious ways. HE punishes you for the mistakes of your stupid greedy presidents and leaders.

  105. Halfajap June 11, 2009 - 2:11 am

    To Marius B. ,

“@pbrain: Have you thought that it might be because of the two f’king nuclear bombs that the stupid american government dropped in the zone in the 2nd world war?..”

The Asian people in these photos are Chinese (supposedly). The f’king bombs you refer to were detonated over Japan, not China. And I’m pretty sure that there has been far more nuclear testing in our part of the world (USA) than in that part of the world. But I could be wrong on that part.

  106. nowhere_man June 12, 2009 - 7:35 am

the tree man is not fake. not quite sure bout others but i think they’re real

  107. shaxpir June 12, 2009 - 8:49 pm

Dede the “tree man” was on the Discovery Channel (or maybe some other channel, can’t remember). He’s not shopped.

  108. Kensington June 12, 2009 - 11:54 pm

As far as the poor Indonesian guy with all the warts, I remember seeing an update to that story fairly recently that said that, after having had surgery to trim a lot of them away, the warts were growing back. For a little while he had the use of his hands again, but not anymore. Poor guy.

“The Asian thing must have something to do with those nukes some decades back. I bet the radiation caused these tumors and mutations.”

    …sigh…times a million.

  110. wut June 15, 2009 - 12:55 pm

    These comments are obviously photoshopped.

  111. Cin June 15, 2009 - 5:11 pm

Shopped, I can tell by the pixels, and from seeing quite a few ’shops in my time.

  112. jazzmoose June 15, 2009 - 8:40 pm

My god, that one near the bottom was horrible! You shouldn’t publish such horrific pictures; people could be traumatized!

    Oh wait; that’s Tom Cruise…

  113. Cyclonus July 4, 2009 - 3:52 pm

Man I’m glad I live the in U.S. But its terrible that some people don’t have access to health care. All of these people probably could of lived normal lifes if they were treated early on.

    hen desu ne?

  116. tired from reading every comment July 16, 2009 - 12:52 pm

@jazzmoose – LMAO I had to go and look again to see what you were referring too.

I’d make a remark to all of you people arguing about whether these pictures are real or not, but it’d be a waste of time.

Have any of you considered, just maybe, believing the other side of your argument to see where the other person is coming from?

Instead of arguing your point, try to see the other person’s side, that way, you can see just how much more of an idiot they are…haha and you thought I was going somewhere with this.

No, but really, do consider the other person’s view and see how they could be thinking. You’ll see you both are probably looking at each others extremes instead of seeing some truth.

Ex: One person says the tree isn’t possible. The other says it is very possible. Or, you could go, hmm, maybe he inhaled a small limb. But I’m sure some of you would throw up other points at that…why is it still green, how could a limb be inhaled, etc.

  117. kimani July 23, 2009 - 10:57 pm

I cannot be more thankful 2 God wen I look @ myself

  118. BurnEdOut August 6, 2009 - 7:41 am

The reason why most of these people are Asian is mostly because China has so many people. About 1/3rd of the entire world is CHINESE, much less Asian in general. Add on poverty, poor living conditions, and little access to modern medicine to remove tumors such as these before they get so horrific, its simply a matter of statistics. Those of you who are blaming nuclear weapons used in japan are idiotic, ignorant, and insensitive.

  119. john punds August 11, 2009 - 9:09 am

THIS IS THE “REAL WORLD GARBAGE PAIL KIDS CARDS!!”

  120. Gr8 M8 August 11, 2009 - 7:20 pm

the tree lung is obviously fake… otherwise the tree sample would never be green, as it would never have seen light and would not be able to produce chlorophyll. duh, 5th grade biology.

  121. Snuzz August 14, 2009 - 11:13 am

“Man I’m glad I live the in U.S. But its terrible that some people don’t have access to health care.”

Yeah, I’m so glad we’ve got universal healthcare. Oh wait…
