Touted as the fight of the year, Hatton vs Pacquiao promises to deliver some of the best pound for pound boxing around. Although Pacquiao is the 2-1 favorite, most boxing analysts are calling it a 50-50 split due to the unpredictability of both fighters.

When you hear of lightweight boxing you often hear of Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya. Pacquiao and Hatton hope to change that reality. Coming off a Dec. 6 win against De La Hoya, Pacquiao just might be the best lightweight boxer in the world. And with a win tonight, calling Mayweather out of retirement isn’t out of the question.

It’s pure speed vs. strength at the end of the day. Pacquiao will have to use his quickness and agility against the power of Hatton. If you remember the Hatton vs. Mayweather fight in 07, Hatton surprised everyone when he put Mayweather on the ropes in the first round. Even though he lost the fight, he was able to show he could go against the best.

Tonight will definitely be one for the record books and easily the fight of the year.
