Los Angeles Lakers Guard Derek Fisher should be in a better mood today considering yesterday’s LA Lakers Game 5 win against the Utah Jazz in the NBA Western Conference playoffs at the Staples Center.
Instead, he is breathing a sigh of relief after he got a temporary restraining order against Symone Fisher, a 40 yr. old woman who has been allegedly stalking him since the 2001-2002 basketball season. She is being accused of showing up at Fisher’s home, the Lakers training facility, as well as sending him numerous e-mails and letters claiming to be his wife.
Fisher wrote in court papers that “Her repeated attempts to contact me, her delusional notions that we are married, her angry and hostile tirades against me, her appearance at my place of work and her recent travels near and around my place of residence are all extremely frightening.”
Originally from Arkansas, Derek Fisher re-joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2007 with a 3 year, $14 million contract. He, along with the rest of the Lakers will be facing off against either the Portland Trailblazers or the Houston Rockets in the 2009 NBA Conference Semi-finals.
Now, he can focus on the game and not his stalker.

I wonder how many celebrities have ever been physically harmed by a stalker? I mean, I always hear about celebrities having them and how stalkers are dangerous, but it seems like I never hear of stalkers actually doing anything (other being a huge nuisance that is)
