Former football and baseball standout Bo Jackson will be taking his skills to the bank… literally. Probably the greatest two-sport athlete of our time, Jackson invested in Burr Ridge Bank and Trust, located in the Burr Ridge suburb of Illinois. The 46 year-old Jackson, who gained a large following after his classic “Bo Knows” commercials, has been active in the Chicago business community though his collection of athletic training facilities and food supplier stores.
I can remember when he went down with that career ending hip injury. It was a sad day for me and Raiders fans everywhere. Even though I rooted for the 49ers, Bo was Bo. It was him Shawn Kemp, Michael Jordan and Ken Griffey Jr. who rounded out my fab four athletes.
Here’s a cool little did you know about him. He was the first two-sport athlete to appear in both all-star games. Come on, that’s way more impressive than T-O’s basketball skills.
We here at Manolith recently ranked Jackson at number 1 for our: “Top 5 Forgotten Sports Heroes”. It’s good to see him doing well and we wish him all the best.

it was a hip injury that took him out? too bad. i always wondered what happened to him. i liked him as a kid.
