The only problem, is that it will be in reference to your boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse that left you due to your gaining a ton of weight. This is one of the fattiest food items on this list. Although the pizza referenced in this study is meant for two people, it is not uncommon for an individual to have a ‘personal’ pizza to their self. So, it’s not just a clever name. This ‘pie definitely scores scores extremely high in fat, saturated fat, and sodium: eat at your own peril.

Even though these sandwiches now typically go for more than $6.00 – even though the original burger’s name a stab at ‘expensive burgers’ a few years ago – it packs quite the caloric bang for your buck. At 234 calories per $1, it is towards the higher end of the spectrum. Unfortunately for many, because of the negative publicity this sandwich has received in the last year or so, it has been largely pulled from Carls Jr. menus.

great article!
I’m hungry now…
I had some ben and jerry’s ice cream last weekend. I forget the flavor but a quart had 1200 calories for about $3.99. Works out to about 301 calories per dollar!
Not sure where your data comes from, but the Awesome Blossom is still on the menu at the Chili’s I go to…and it is not priced anywhere near $12.
you forgot mcdonalds dollar menu double cheeseburger at 440 calories, $1 for 440 calories, fun times
You did your research!
where are the stats for the bacon explosion??
http://www.bbqaddicts.com/blog/recipes/bacon-explosion/
I’ll take one of everything. And for the author who says that all these should be avoided, Go eat you E Coli Spinach silently in the corner while the rest of us enjoy our food. Dang freaking health Nazis. What’s so good about the land of the living anyway once you get rid of good food? Better to enjoy it for the time you have.
Most of these are far below the clorie/dolaar ratio of fast fodd dollar menu items:
Baked Apple Pie: 500 Calories/$1.00
McDouble: 390 calories/$1.00
McChicken: 360 Calories/$1.00
Small fries: 260 Calories/$1.00
etc.
Dam I gotta stop by these places before I die, or .. well which ever comes before the other.
Oh well, I’m still going to tell myself that it’s okay to eat that entire Onion Blossom because I really do need my vegetable servings.
Did anybody really think that eating these foods was healthy? A double six dollar burger prepared at a fast-food restaurant by a minimum wage “chef”? A giant chocolate ice-cream cookie thing? Tell us something we don’t know.
If anybody were that low on the intelligence scale, my friend, your article won’t help them, because they likely lack the ability to read also.
I used to think that I couldn’t get fat even if I tried. Well, … now I think I might be wrong, rofl.
dude — you just sent lots of people to eat out tonight…can we get a prize for eating the entire list, in one day…that would be awesome..
What about The Heart Attack Grille? Surely their menu items top all these? In terms of calories AND bang for your buck!
They have flatliner fries, which is an all you can eat CHEESE coated fries bar, NOT A SALAD BAR!!!

chef boyardee beefaroni: 500+ calories / $1
It seems like Chili’s makes it quite a bit on these types of articles. Which is sad because that generally means the problem is with how the prepare the food, and not the main ingrediants.
Hahahahah, the Quadruple Bypass Burger has 617 calories per $1.00!!!!!
Beats teh best above by nearly double!!! Check the videos in the second link, the prices are on the wall!!!

Eat all these foods in moderation and work it off in the gym, no worries there.
pf chang’s isn’t really asian food.
honestly, call yourself manolith and then whine about a bit o healthy eating

The ultimate calorie meal could be an item highlighted on NPR’s show “Wait, wait, don’t tell me” over the weekend. A burger between two Krispy Kreme donuts with a fried egg on top. Not available in any restaurant yet but a recipe is available.
Craig’t Crazy Carrot Cheesecake has 2400 calories per slice, and its from the Cheesecake Factory, not sure why they used the weaker chocolate version….
I might have a shorter life than expected, I have tried almost 80% of the ones on the list and I love them all, I guess I rather die happy :)
I love Spaghetti and Meatball with Meatsauce, without the meatsauce you won’t taste the meat. !
Tasty food (salty, fat) doesn’t mean good food, unless you are a teenager who never really ate anything else. And “good” food doesn’t necessarly means salad and veggies … Nothing like a good steak, meat balls’ spaghetti and pizza .. just not at those places … its not calories the problem (i.e. eat in moderation), but the sodium content .. scary !
Hey these all look delectible to me!!
just don’t complain when you have to buy two seats if you fly united
I very hungry, hungry, I want to eat Chocolate Shake. hehe
As Steve H. (hogonice.com) says, “Eat what you want and die like a man.”
Say it ain’t so!

great article
Check out the Fifth Third Burger: http://www.cnbc.com/id/29838746
Just thought you should know that some of your info is outdated. I work for Ruby Tuesday and we stopped putting the layer of cheese over top of the pasta at least 6 months ago. I believe that was 2 cups, so that eliminates a lot of calories and fat (although the creamy parmesean sauce is still loaded with both). Anymore, it is difficult to go to any restaurant and eat healthy. At least at Ruby’s there is a salad bar with low-fat dressings and fresh fruits (although you can certainly load your salad with tons of calories and fat if you choose). Good article though.
1/2 lb cheesy bean and rice burrito from taco bell is 1 buck and has 470 calories
There’s a motto here: AVOID CHILLI’S!
… lest you become a tummy-wobblin’, cellulite-swinging Yank of elephantine proportions in a week flat.
This is a good resource. When i’m broke i tend to buy the most calories for my dollar. I actually eat alot more when i’m broke then when i’m rollin in the dough.
I can’t believe Uno Pizza Skin’s have 2400 calories! I eat those everytime I go there! It was my one ‘really bad for you’ treat, but I didn’t realize it was so bad for me. I should just stick to my healthy diet.
if anyone is willing to fed ex some carl jr. to me in upstate ny you can damn near name your price. crap i miss them…,
Chili’s did take the awesome blossom off the menu everywhere. They now have a Onion stack with thinner onions but same batter but no sauce. Every single menu item is now pretty much fried and getting more and more disgusting by the quarter. But Enjoy as much as you like!
I wish that they would’ve posted how many calories are from fat, reason being that should account for approx 10% of the total calories in order to be good for you. Interesting article though.
Followup on posting – I suppose if anyone wants to do the math:
9 calories per gram of fat.
and all you americans wonder why you’re all so fuckin fat….
That Uno Chicago pizza looks downright nasty. But the burgers: DO WANT.
Eat healthy ! :)
Thanks for the tips! This is great for people like me who are skinny and poor!
OMFG WHY DO I NOT SEE MDONALDS OR B$RG$R KING ?

OMGOMG GUYS I EAT THAT QUIZNOS SANDWICH (Shut up I like tuna) Well, You just got one less customer now!
eat what you want, as long as you work it off. you can have that 2000 cal fried onion if you want just dont eat the damn thing every day! like i tell people every day, “i’m going to live till i die”
I was excited and expecting a list of how I could survive as cheap and healthy as possible. Not my idea of “bang.” Buried.
That’s quite an extensive list! I really could go for that oreo shake right now though! ;D
Nothing at all looks appetising, better photos? Outback Steakhouse Assie fries with cheese is a hoot, we do not plaster our fries with cheese! I paid the NJ version a visit once and had never heard of Bloom’in Onion until then. No damper, no vegimite, nothing Aussie about it.
WOW! This makes me never want to eat out again. Although I’m sure I will since I love food too much! I guess the key is moderation. Now I’m hungry!
heh i am drooling now. i feel bad that i’ve had about 4 off this list haha
Looks and sounds delicious.Nice posting – good list – thanks for sharing!
This is BS – tuna sub with 179 grams of fat? You would have to have mixed it with butter instead of mayo and even then it wouldn’t be accurate.
Sure this food is crap – but those numbers are made up.
