Check this video out. It’s from the last TED conference a few weeks ago, basically highlighting this new product in development which will bring the hand and finger gestures best illustrated in Minority Report to reality.
It’s in very early developmental stages, but with a few simple finger gestures you can now make the rectangle-with-your-fingers gesture and take an actual picture of what you see. And then, when you get back to the office, you can simply project the images you took on a wall and send them, if you want, to an actual computer to edit.
You can pick up a product and learn more about it. You can open a book and read a review instantly. This takes computing to the next level – even if the next level is somewhat of a Big Brother reality. Who would store all this personal information? Sound like some Blade Runner thing going on.
Nonetheless, this is a giant leap forward from anything we’ve ever know. And the parts as they are cost about $350 in total. This could revolutionize everything we know about interaction. Holy fucking shit. I’m kind of salivating right now just thinking about owning one of these.
