I’m not sure why more people haven’t downloaded this little game because every time I show it to someone they end up stealing my iPhone from me and playing it for 25 solid minutes.
If you were born any time in the last 30 years I’m sure you’re at least vaguely aware of fingerboards. Some people call them “Tech Decks”. Those people are marketing idiots who need to be taken out back and shot; Ol’ Yeller style. Regardless of what you call them, fingerboards are God’s gift to those of us who:
- Take long train/bus rides to school/work.
- Are in college/work in an office.
- Anybody, really, because this game is that awesome.
The only disadvantage being to those little fuckers is that they eventually get lost, or a wheel falls off, or if you’re like me your room-mates Pug eats it because your room-mates dog is a fucking idiot (this is a true story). For $5, you can now have one of these on your iPhone. This is the best game available.
Why? Because its an open environment, and for anyone that’s spent $5 on a crappy game on the iPhone that they’ve beat within an hour (I’m looking at you, MotoChaser), a game that you can play indefinitely even after you’ve beat it is a God-send. Seriously. I’ve logged in about 7 hours of game play on this thing and I’ve already beat it, but I found myself re-installing it just to beat it again. It’s a blast.
Its a lot like Tony Hawk but you’re actually using your fingers to jump, grind, flip, and do everything. This may not sound like a big deal, but considering how fluid and true to life the movements are, it’s amazing.
Ch-ch-ch-check out the Touchgrind website here, and be amazed. No joke. This is a great little game you’ll play for hours and hours; truly something that utilizes everything great about the iPhone.
