SHANGHAI, CHINA - MARCH 2: (CHINA OUT) Icelandic musical dynamo Bjork performs during her concert at the Shanghai International Gymnastic Center as part of the Volta Tour, Shanghai, March 2, 2008. Shanghai was the only Chinese mainland city on the singer`s itinerary. She played in Hong Kong days earlier. Bjork arrived in Shanghai on Feb. 29. She performed this time as part of her world tour promoting her latest album entitled "Volta." The concert was her last performance in Asia before she flied back to Europe to perform in Manchester, England. Bjork is an Icelandic singer-songwriter, composer, actress and music producer. She has been nominated for 13 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award and two Golden Globe awards (including one for acting). She is best known for her expressive vocals and an interest in many kinds of music, including pop, alternative rock, jazz, ambient music, electronica, and folk, as well as her eccentric costumes. Chinese singer Faye Wong`s quirky sense of fashion and on-stage antics were often compared to Bjork`s. Her most recent album, Volta, was released worldwide on May 8, 2007.
