Love Photoshop? Don’t feel like spending roughly a months rent on a computer program you’re basically going to use to make LOLcats? I know, dude. It’s hard out there for a pimp.
Thankfully some person somewhere put up a simple Javascript image editor. It’s certinately not Photoshop, but it looks a lot like it. There’s a few things missing (obviously) from making it a complete alternative. For instance, trying to click-and-drag text is nearly impossible and the Javascript clearly wasn’t intended for much more than the simpler things that Photoshop has to offer.
However, it works. It’s pretty amazing how easy it is to use, and really makes you wonder exactly why anyone outside of the graphic design or photography field would want to spend $700(!) on the full version of Photoshop.
