Actress Danica McKellar got married this weekend to her boyfriend Mike Verta in La Jolla California. Many of you may not recognize her real name, but she was the teenage bombshell that played Winnie Cooper on the classic 80’s/90’s family drama “The Wonder Years.
In 2005, McKellar to great spread for Stuff Magazine, opening up in a more “mature” way. I bet Fred Savage wishes he was there.
McKellar is more than just an actress/model though. She actually happens to be a Mathematician. After completing her undergraduate studies at UCLA and graduating summa cum laude, she authored two New York Times Best Sellers. Focused on empowering young girls to succeed in math, both books earned her the award for “Person of the Week” on Charlie Gibson’s World News Program.
Mckellar and Verta had been dating 8 years prior to there marriage and had a small 150 person ceremony in their hometown.
