Late night titan David Letterman announced his marriage to long-time girlfriend Regina Lasko on tonight’s taping of “The Late Show.” The two first met on Dave’s show over 20 years ago and have been together since. In the 2003, Dave had his first child with Lasko, a baby boy named Harry.
This will be the 2nd marriage for the 61-year old Letterman, who divorced from his first wife Michelle Cook in 1978. Letterman always liked being unmarried bachelor, but felt it was the right time to settle down with his long time girlfriend. The two made it official on Thursday, March 19th at a courthouse in Choteau, Montana.
Letterman’s announcement will be aired tonight on The Late Show. Here’s a snippet of what to expect: “I had avoided getting married pretty good for, like, 23 years, and I—honestly, whether this happened or not—I secretly felt that men who were married admired me…like I was the last of the real gunslingers, you know what I’m saying?”
