These days, the kids who love NBA basketball idolize Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers with his good looks, charisma, three pointers, and his ability to just drive down the court in the last seconds of the game and many times, score the game-winning shot.
But I think that one of the All-Time greats of NBA Basketball of all time is still Michael Jordan who carried the Chicago Bulls to the NBA Finals and Championships six times and still managed to remain untarnished with his reputation off the court. This included endorsement deals with Gatorade with the famous “I Wanna Be Like Mike,” slogan, Nike Sneakers, McDonalds, and Hanes underwear.
These are big shoes to fill, even for someone who shares the same DNA as the famous MJ. Enter Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan’s son, who scored a game-high 19 points to lead Chicago Whitney Young to a 69-66 victory over Waukegan in the Illinois Class 4A championship Saturday.
Considering the enormous pressure that Marcus has had to deal with since starting his basketball career, this is a redemption of sorts. It even brought his famous father to tears. When asked by a reporter if he was actually crying, Jordan (Senior) replied, “Crying? I’m not crying. Not for me, anyway.”
Could it be that Marcus Jordan can match the greatness of his father’s legacy? Only time and many missed free-throws will tell.

MJ is the best of all-time, Kobe might get close, but I don't think he can get 3 more rings by himself... Comparing Jordan's son to the air apparent must be pretty hard on the younger Jordan. I couldn't imagine the pressure...It's nice to see him coming into his own though.

Can't imagine what it must be like to try and walk in the footsteps of a legend like Michael Jordan. Looks like Marcus is doing pretty well.
