Ok, Dj Wicky-Scratch! Are you totally gonna rock the house? Totally gonna do that awesome thing with the crossfader? Fantasize about doing “Tiesto Arms” to other peoples music infront of a group of 10,000 people who came there, ultimately, to hear you play a sequence of songs that you didn’t write?*

Well then look no more. You can now be That Guy by simply buying whats tentativly being titled as DJ Hero. Just like the super-mega smash hit Guitar Hero, this will come with its own instrument, this time substituting a plastic guitar for a plastic turntable. On a personal note: I’m dissapointed they didn’t go with my “Keytar Hero” idea. This could make millions, Activision.

To make things even better, this operates in almost exactly the same was as actual DJ platform Serrato (which will run you around $600). So you’ll be learning how to actually DJ. This means an entire generation of bedroom DJ’s that learned to do in fifteen minutes what it took many people years to perfect.

More from Yahoo! Tech.

*Full disclosure:  blah blah blah Dj’ing is awesome and difficult, but lets face it, 95% of DJ’s are awful weird people who still think trance in relevant and still think that ecstacy is a good idea. Either that or they’re hung up on the one good idea Mark Farina ever had. Yes, this blogger is a jaded ex-DJ. Sigh.

Sounds great. I've learned drums through Rock Band, now I can figure out how to use my turntables through this. Now if only they could work on a Cooking Hero...
