Hot Import Nights is a regular car culture event that brings together tuner (a term that refers to modifying a vehicle to boost its performance) and import car enthusiasts for a day of modded vehicle sightseeing, music featuring trance and hiphop artists, and a bevy of bikini-clad women. Whether or not you follow the mod scene, there’s enough of a variety of sights for anyone even peripherally interested in this kind of subculture.
Originally a pretty small show put together by organizers from Orange County, the event has since grown to attract hundreds of thousands of people. Standard sponsors for the event include NOS Energy Drinks, Bridgestone Tires, and The Army National Guard.
This time around, Anaheim will host such musical acts as Solo “Da Beast”, Ya Boy, and Efren Ramirez, who you might remember as Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite. Also on hand will be a trove of beautiful models, including Pam Rodriguez, Jeri Lee, and Miss HIN Boston, Erin McKinnon.
And in a related note, Fast and Furious comes out on April 3rd, featuring the original cast from The Fast and the Furious. If you still aren’t sure what the tuner scene is about, go check it out.
