The Miami Herald is reporting that the world’s female Chess champion is also an aspiring model. She is this Russian woman called Alexandra Kosteniuk who lives in South Beach, Florida (of all places). She sells calenders of her in a bikini on her website, too. Can’t you just be really good at one thing and keep it at that?
An aspiring model who uses her good looks to promote chess, Kosteniuk has been compared to Russian tennis knockout (and Miami Beach resident) Anna Kournikova. (Kosteniuk debunks the comparison by noting that she has won individual tournaments, a feat the other Russian cannot claim.)
But she’s not just “a really good Chess player”, she’s a serious professional. The actual technical name is International Grandmaster. That sounds like the greatest rapper name ever. And yep, this little brunette Russian who could easily pass for “friends sister” in any given TGI Fridays across the land.
Sadly, she is married and has a nearly 2 year old kid. Don’t worry, there’s other Grandmasters out there in the sea. You’ll find another.
