Yamaha is releasing a series of keyboards that are designed to integrate into YOUR life, as opposed to the other way around. For those of you familiar with the “big black plastic thing in the corner” view of keyboards, this is your chance to hop aboard the good ship Yamaha.

There’s different models being made now, such as a keyboard that fits inside a notebook designed for those that travel. There’s even one that’s built into a bar(!) for when you have company over that really want to be a part of the moment when you launch into your ill-advised cover of “Piano Man”.

The series – as yet untitled – made its debut in Milan last year. According to a spokesperson from Yamaha, the series is being designed because “keys are important; something that everyone possesses. We would like to offer everyone an array of keys, in the hopes of giving the people who come to our exhibition some insight into the bond between people and instruments, and the human relationships that music fosters between people.”

They’re not quite “out in stores”, per say, but check out the linkage here and hit up your Yamaha dealer for more info. Clickage: MoCo Loco: Key for you.
