This is DJ Khaled and due to recent press and news reports I feel compelled to
release a statement. Just to be clear I am in Miami, FL working on Rick Ross’
album, Deeper Than Rap. I am not in LA where there are reports that I have been
in a police chase. These reports are completely false and unfounded.

According to unconfirmed reports and Twitter posts by people present at Lankershim Boulevard the Bentley chase in Los Angeles has resulted in a stand-off and the aggressive driver is apparently DJ Khaled. The latest update is that the occupant who may be DJ Khaled of Terror Squad, may have shot himself dead.

News footage grabs showed a bearded man with sunglasses and LAPD claimed that it was a black man wanted for assault on his girlfriend with a deadly weapon. The driver on being cornered by the police in the middle of the street near Lankershim and Cahuenga boulevards pulled a gun to his head and threatened to pull the trigger.

The entire episode started with a Bentley driver leading the Los Angeles police on an excruciatingly slow chase, later being described by the police as despondent, armed, and dangerous.

DJ Khaled, born Khaled Khaled, is a Miami-based DJ, producer, and radio personality. From being Luther Campbell’s “sidekick” in 1998 to producing hip-hop albums such as Real Talk by Fabolous and True Story by Terror Squad, Khaled has come a long way. Far enough to own a $100,000 plus Bentley.
