The Von Bondies Release “Love, Hate and Then There’s You”

By Yosef Solomon on February 3rd, 2009

The Von Bondies released their third studio album today. “Love, Hate and Then There’s You” is the band’s highly anticipated follow up to 2004’s Pawn Shoppe Heart.

A lot has happened to the band since 2004. They lost two members, they were dropped from their label and frontman Jason Stollsteimer caught a beating from Jack White of the White Stripes. It’s no surprise that “Love, Hate and Then There’s You” is being hailed as the band’s comeback album. Producer Butch Walker has helped The Von Bondies craft an album that retains their Stooges-like swagger, while adding a cleaner, more radio friendly sound. A video for the album’s first single, “Pale Bride,” was released back in January.

The band will be going out on tour later this month in support of the album.
