In the tradition of almost every major American sport, the Pittsburgh Steelers will celebrate their Super Bowl victory with a parade through Downtown Pittsburgh. Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes and the rest of the “Six-Burgh” Steelers will greet fans tomorrow at noon through the Boulevard of the Allies.
In 2006, an estimated 250,000 fans turned out for the Steelers Super Bowl Parade. Rumors swirled this past week, stating that the city of Pittsburgh wouldn’t have another parade even if they did win, due to the damage that was made during there last effort. The city had to shell out, an estimated, $45,000 in cleaning costs alone.
Schools will go back to normal after a two-hour delay this morning due to the big game. Students have been encouraged to wear yellow and black tomorrow and celebrate with their peers at noon.
