Football and food have gone hand-in-hand since the first pigskin was punted down a field.  Since Super Bowl Sunday is arguably the biggest party day of the year, the right assortment of delicious eatables is a must.  Whether your Super Bowl crew is just a small gathering of close friends or a super-sized blowout, these foods are crucial.

Nachos – Do you like football? Do you like nachos? Of course you do! But don’t stop at plain old chips and salsa. Spice things up with extra goods like cheese, guacamole, and hot jalapenos and you’ll be a real nacho man (or woman).

Big chewy pretzels – Bring the goodness of those mall pretzels to your Super Bowl party. Is some cases, you can get a big pretzel the size of a cake! Pair with it some tasty dips like nacho cheese and you’ll have some happy guests.

Giant sandwich – Nothing says party like a nine-foot sub loaded with every deli meat you can think of. And since there’s lettuce and tomato on it, you know it’s healthy, too! Right? And the best thing about a giant party sub is that there are always leftovers… as long as you can fit it in your fridge.

Pizza – Always a classic, pizza is a surefire hit with a hungry party crowd. Frozen pizzas are okay, but having pies delivered from your favorite pizzeria is always better.

Cocktail weenees: Little hot dogs served in a tangy sauce means one thing. You can eat about 30 of them and not feel bad about it. There’s something about tiny sausages on a toothpick that is undeniably appetizing. Take making people feel like giants one step further by also providing mini-loaves of bread to go with the weenees.

Whatever you serve are your Super Bowl party, creativity is key. If you take the time to prepare your snacks, your guests will remember the food as much as they remember what happened in the game. That is, if they aren’t too busy eating to actually watch.
