Michael Jackson Ill

By The Manolith Team on December 22nd, 2008

Not only is Michael Jackson ill, apparently he is terminally so. This, if reports emanating from Britain’s Daily Express are to be believed then Michael Jackson is suffering from a rare genetic disorder called Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. There’s always a chance that the erstwhile King of Pop is just suffering from an attention/sympathy seeking disorder. Now, while this may read as cruel, it is surely not going to kill him while this esoteric sounding disease probably will. It’s causing his lungs to bleed internally and if Ian Halperin who is writing a new biography of Michael Jackson is to be believed slowly but surely Michael Jackson’s life force is ebbing away.

Michael suffers from a number of ailments that include emphysema and chronic gastrointestinal bleeding. He is apparently nearly blind in his left eye, he has difficulty in speaking and will in probability require a lung transplant but the irony is that his body is too weak to stand up to the rigors of such an operation.

This is sad because Michael has been (can’t help but use the past tense) one of the giants of pop music with Thriller still being the best selling record of all time. All we can do is to pray and hope for the best for Michael Jackson. We wish that he pulls through and delivers yet another top of the charts performance.

Check out Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal, nice song with all his trademark moves.
