Todd Graves
Todd Graves is a man to really be admired and looked up to. He’s managed to raise millions for himself through his Raising Cane chain of restaurants. If you’re going to say “So what, there are so many restaurateurs, I’d rather have Dick and Mac McDonald or Colonel Harland Sanders”, then consider this – this guy funded his own business collecting money for the venture working as a commercial sockeye salmon fisherman and also as a boilermaker; both not easy jobs but work for a real man. A man who can dare to make millions selling just fried chicken fingers.
That’s the reason I like this guy; a guy who dreams big but still keeps it simple. And all this after his business school professor told him that the idea of a one-dish restaurant was downright silly. Twelve years on since the first restaurant in 1996, Todd has 76 restaurants all over the United States and a turnover of $100 million.
Todd Graves is now going to appear on Secret Millionaire which is not your run-of-the-mill reality show in which people lie and slide to sad levels of debasement. Instead, Todd and a few other self-made millionaires are going to get a feel of what it’s like to be poor. Their interaction with the deprived classes and the underprivileged will form the crux of this reality show. At the end of it, Todd will give away $100,000 to deserving communities.
