OK guys, Schick Manscaping is an interesting tool that you don’t see everyday. This is very similar in action to those virtual dress-up or hairstyle sites your girlfriend is probably always checking out to see if they look fat, since they know you won’t tell them the truth. This tool from the makers of Schick razors will revolutionize the way you shave … well, it will at least give you a good laugh. After the break, let’s take a look at what exactly the manscaping is all about, and figure out if you would look good in a fu manchu styled goatee or not.
When you first visit the site for Schick Manscaping, you will see that step one is to upload a photo of yourself looking straight into the camera. This is very important, as it will allow the software to do some interesting things with your mug. Next you are asked to zoom and rotate a oval to match the shape of your head, moving eye markers and lip markers as well. This tells the program where your features are. Be prepared, the next step is life changing.
See? Told you, didn’t I? When I hit that next button and saw a virtual set of eyeballs moving around in my skull there on the screen, I started laughing. Very interesting concept – turning a real life picture into a virtual reality avatar styled image. This thing even moves the head too! But that’s not the best part, oh no. Notice on the right that you now have the option to pick several different beard styles, even to design your own. Click on one of those bad boys to see just what your face would look like with that style. You can pick the fu manchu, biker style, to a classic style. You can also adjust the eye colors and facial hair colors, just in case you were thinking about colored contacts and/or going for an alternative hair color as well. Just for the record, bright blue eyes and an orange fu manchu do not look good on yours truly ;) (see below for my mugshot, as well as some others from around the interwebs).
