Finding a Paintball Store

Whether you’re looking for a Paintball Store because you just heard about paintballing and want to see what it takes to get going or you’re a seasoned paintballer and want to find a store while you’re traveling to a tournament there are some easy ways to locate a store.

If you’re new to paintballing, where have you been all your life? Stuck at home on your computer reading blogs and you finally came across a story on paintballing or a video that showed you how much fun it is?

It’s considered an extreme sport and has become very popular. All ranges of people are coming into the sport because they want a new outlet. Some need to relieve frustrations at work or home, some want to just spend time with friends and even some father / son play time is good for the bonding time.

When you’re ready to get into the sport you need to find somewhere to acquire all the gear you need. It’s better if you go to a physical store to get started if at all possible. This will let you get the wisdom of the store employees imparted to you and be able to touch, feel and test out the equipment. It starts of course with the paintball gun but goes on from there to include what you wear to play, what you need for protection, what options there are for making the game even more exciting, and oh yea, what new wizbang things can you add onto your gear load that makes you win more games than the other newbies. You want to get the hang of the game quicker than they do too. Tips abound – magazines, website articles, blogs are all around so seek them out too after you’ve visited that store. Maybe the magazines they stock will be a good starting place too.

Can you take classes? Likely so, but just getting out there & being shot at some will turn you into a quick learner!

So how do you find a local store? Here are some ideas:
Check out the local phonebook – these listings will be for the well-known stores most likely; If you find a local field for play, ask the owners where the stores are, look for a bulletin board with posted ads or coupons; Ask people who are playing where they got their gear; Do some web searches – there are some particular portals out there focusing on resources for paintballers; and look at your local bookstore, grocery store or pharmacy magazine stand.

Look for announcements in your local paper or weekly magazine for large events in the area or close-by. Local businesses in the area will likely be exhibiting at these events looking for people like you, potential customers. Then when you do find a local store, make sure you support them by buying local – that helps them be around to serve you and others who enjoy the thrill of paintballing.
