Most women will agree that there is not much that is sexier than a good looking chest on a guy. A chest that is firm and flat and has perfectly developed pectoral muscles is a goal of most men especially if they have excessive chest fat. The problem is that most men do have extra chest fat that kind of makes the chest look puffy. So, guys if you are looking for a way to ditch that chest fat and turn it into a firm and flat, defined, and tone sexy chest then you have got to get busy and start exercising and working out. The best option is a focused fitness workout program for chest strength and muscle gain.
There is no better way to start then by doing push ups, they will get rid of chest fat and achieve muscle gain and strength better and quicker than anything will. Yes, good old fashioned push ups. You are not exactly going to bulk up but your chest will get flatter and firmer as you start to achieve muscle gain and strength. Be sure to alternate from straight pushups with your feet elevated to hand push-ups for a complete chest workout.
Gaining muscle and strengthening the chest is best accomplished by doing chest presses with barbells and chest flies. But whatever you do, don’t stop the push ups as they are most important. All chest exercises should be done with proper form to not only avoid injury, but the better your form is, the better results you will get. You don’t need a huge assortment of chest exercises, true there are many but it is best if you just stay with the few that are proven to work best such as using the bench press if possible and dumbbell flies.
If you are interested in bulking up and getting a large chest then you are going to need some heavy weights and compound movements. The standard bench presses will likely work best for this because it isolates the whole muscle group, and forces you to contract them to push the weight back up. You’re going to want to stick to lower repetitions and heavy weights to get the best chest workout possible. If you are not so concerned with a huge chest but would like to just tone yours up, just use less weight and do more reps, this will give you tone but no bulk.
The best chest workouts should not only have compound movements, heavy weights and low repetitions but also you should be working the chest with three different exercises to fully work and develop the upper and lower pectorals. It’s important that you switch up the pattern of exercises about once a month or so. You should only work your chest once or twice a week for the best results because muscle growth comes from rest not when you’re working out. Keep working and you will have the best chest workout, your chest will look great and you will look good and feel even better.
