Everyone is abuzz about the IPhone GPS Tracking, but they are not the only smartphone in town with GPS capabilities!
On Tuesday, the Nokia World 2008 Conference in Barcelona saw the unveiling of what many are calling Nokia’s answer to the iPhone – the Nokia N97. The N97 is a multimedia smartphone from Nokia’s high end N series and is expected to cost around $700. The device features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 3.5″ tilting touch screen.
The N97 has woven social networking into its working and has introduced some appealing features such as integrated A-GPS sensors that tell your pals on all those social networking sites about your present location. You can add widgets of your favorite sites to the Home Screen.
Other very cool and no doubt useful features include 32 GB onboard memory, quad-band support that covers GSM 850/900/1800/1900, a 5-megapixel camera that sports a Carl Zeiss lens, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, browser support for Flash Lite 3.0, video capture at 30 frames per second playable in a number of formats, digital music player with 3.5 mm jack headphones, voice-guided car navigation and pedestrian-optimized turn-by-turn guidance, and much more.
