When considering buying a television, there are many options available, from the type of television, to the brand name of the television. Many TV manufacturers have are known for their long standing existence. Some are known for exceptional quality and service, and yet others, there is little known about them. We’ll look at the different TV Manufacturers here.
Sony: Sony is probably one of the most recognized among the TV manufacturers. Based in Tokyo, Japan, Sony is known for their long standing in the business as well as their great products.
Samsung: Another leading manufacturer, also known for their production of Home appliances.
Pioneer: The World leader in digital electronic products. Very well respected company
Phillips: Based in the Netherlands, Phillips is one of the largest TV manufacturers in the world, and the largest in Europe.
Panasonic: Another well known name in TV manufacturers
JVC: A relative new comer, they hit the market big with everything from TV manufacturing, to satellite.
Hitachi: Hitachi is a partner in the world’s most advanced plasma display facility. Hitachi builds a wide range of direct-view, projection and plasma television products.
Fujitsu:
A leading provider of a wide variety of innovative and highly reliable products. Since introducing the world’s first color plasma display monitor Fujitsu has emerged as the leader in plasma display technology.
Toshiba: Up and coming in the world of LCD and Plasma TVs
RCA: A well known and respected company. Primarily seen as the “budget TV maker”
Prices, models and options will vary greatly among the TV manufacturers. The TV business is a competitive world, and the manufacturers know it. Support quality is fairly
Matched among the TV manufacturers, and the Tokyo based companies have Offices based in the US. Most TV manufacturers have been around enough for name recognition. There may be just a couple of exceptions. Which manufacturer’s product you have will depend largely on what type of Television you own. Some of these company’s are leaders in Plasma, and/or LCD, and others are respected CRT dealers. Some dabble in a combination, as well as other viewing products.
The Manufacturer of your television may be a moot point. You first need to decide which type of television you are in the market for. Your decision there will narrow down the available manufacturers.
You have probably at least seen all of the names above, so there are really none that send up red warning flags as far as products or customer service. One name that does spell trouble is Apex. These are cheaply made and thrown together. Stick with one of the leading manufacturers and pass Apex by.
