Cambridge Audio has taken success with their Azur 640C and turned it into growing successs in more newly developed sound quality ventures. The Azur 640C is considered by many to be the best made lower end CD player. It was aimed at lower budget music lovers who still wanted high end sound quality and it received recognition in the field.
In 2005 Cambridge Media took their audio media player product lines to the Azur 640H, a hard disk rip and burn tool with a roomy 160 GB of disc space. It holds up to 30,000 compressed songs, which can be ripped from Mac or PC computers equipped with ITunes or Windows Media Player. It is easy to navigate online to look up songs by any category and utilize the CD re-write. Built-in software is used to effectively manage storage, transfers and music playback.
The Cambridge Audio Media Player took music lovers to a new level with their Azur developments. Not only can consumers keep large music collections safely in one compact location, but they can connect two Azur 640Hs together making the collection even larger as the units work smoothly off all the saved audio files. These audio players have made it possible to rip music files quickly from the internet or CDs using common computer software, and then easily navigate their collection from their television screen using a remote control.
Cambridge did not just jump into the market with the Azur, they had great previous success with products such as the DacMagic in 1994. The original DacMagic was simply geared to upgrade CD players to richer sound quality. Technology hungry music enthusiasts found a new way to enjoy their favorite tunes.
In September 2008 Cambridge expanded from the original DacMagic to the DacMagic upsampling, a digital to analog converter. With a reasonable price tag of about $400 it can enrich any audio file with top notch sound quality. It was accepted into the market as a rather effective upgrade for computers, game consoles, CD players, portable sound docks, and sound cards.
The DacMagic upsampling goes beyond just music enthusiasts to include gamers. Plug in PS2, PS3, Xbox, or Xbox 360 consoles and suddenly the sound quality and special effects of popular games become greatly enhanced. Consumers can now get more out of their game experience in a way that could even improve performance for a serious gamer.
The Cambridge audio media player revolution continues into the Spring of 2009, when they will release their blu-ray version, the 640BD. They plan to continue keeping up with rapidly advancing technological times further into the future.
