People who are looking to purchase a new TV may feel swayed into purchasing their first big screen TV or perhaps even considering a second for their bedroom since they love the one in their living room so much. A shopper should keep in mind, however, that space and costs play an important role when searching for the right TV. Ideal for small living arrangements such as an apartment or perhaps as a second TV for the bedroom, 21” to 29” TVs give the feeling of a big screen TV without taking up the space of a big screen TV.

The large size of big screen TVs in the store may make this range seem small to the average person. Once a TV in the range is taken home it’s easy to see that it’s a good size for most living rooms and even bedrooms. The size of these screens takes up a smaller amount of space than big screen TVs and still has a large screen that can be seen easily from several feet away. They’re also perfect for bedrooms because they’ll fit just about anywhere in the room and the eyes won’t be strained while trying to watch TV.

The different styles the 21” to 29” TVs come in make this size range ideal for choosing a TV that’s perfect for the home without costing a lot of money. These TVs come in tube, LCD, and plasma. Tube TVs don’t have high definition but do cost much less than the other styles and from further away the quality difference from high definition is hard to see. If image quality is important whether just personal preference or the couch is really close to the TV, a tube TV won’t be the best fit. Also, if space is an issue a tube TV takes up much more space than any flat panel. Some flat panels even have DVD players built in or come in widescreen, feature that aren’t generally found in tube TVs. Flat panel TVs come in either LCD or plasma, both of which provide high quality images. The difference between a LCD TV and plasma TV is minimal at this size so saving money and purchasing an LCD is a good way to go.

Any shopper knows that costs play an important part in deciding what to buy and TVs are no different. The 21” to 29” TVs are relatively inexpensive with the highest price being under six hundred dollars. Tube TVs can be found for as little as two hundred dollars although stores carry fewer tube TVs than they did a couple years ago and finding a specific style or color can be difficult. Flat panels TVs start at three hundred dollars and come in many different styles and colors from black to silver and even the occasional pink. For such a low cost and a great size, it’s this range where flat panel TVs are a good fit for any room in any home.
