Just a few days ago a select group recieved invitations to an Apple event to take place today at 10:00 a.m. PST at the Cupertino headquarters. The simple-looking announcements revealed nothing except the focus of the event: notebooks. The tagline “The spotlight turns to notebooks” along with the Apple logo on a solid black background leaves much to the imagination. Of course, the interwebs are perfect for filling that imagination with all kinds of ideas and wish-list stuff that we would like to see on the latest and greatest Apple notebook. When you add some “leaked” pictures in the mix, this thing has gone viral faster than the 1918 flu pandemia.
So what are some of the rumors flying around about this event? Rumors range from speculation about Blu-Ray options , aircraft-grade aluminum cases and prices starting around $800. Yeah, I know, that last one is real hard to believe! In the last 24 hours we’ve also seen some pictures reportedly of the new notebook. The first two images were reportedly sent to Engadget last night. The other pictures were posted a few days ago on an Apple.pro blog. Use your imagination and speculate as much as you want … in just under three hours we’ll have the answers for you!
