Kristina and Karissa Shannon partying in the Playboy limoInternet pundits are pontificating left and right regarding the break-up of Playboy superman Hugh Hefner and Holly Madison. Included in the usual rambling rumors is the talk of two new girls on the block: Kristina and Karissa Shannon. These two twins hail from Clearwater, Florida, and at the ripe old age of 19 they are sure floating Hef’s boat!

According to the girls’ MySpace pages, they were moving into the famed Playboy Mansion in June and were to be featured on The Girls Next Door television show. Kristina even goes so far as to brag that she’s going to be featured in a centerfold with her sister for the magazine. Some are even going so far as to predict that the new dynamic duo will be in the Christmas edition, but nothing official from Playboy as of yet.

The only thing that Hef would confirm is that they did visit for a photo shoot and they did express an interest in being his girlfriends. Their “official” fan page on MySpace lists the two as “in a relationship” – but who knows what that really means these days, right? Also they are listed as Libras, which means they should exhibit some common Libra characteristics, such as easy-going, pleasure oriented, sensitive to others and flirty. Maybe the Playboy spread will give us a full report on the truthfulness of these attributes, but don’t count on it!

Feel free to do your own research on these twins … here are their “official” MySpace pages (note: content may be considered NSFW! )

So what’s my take on the latest development from the Playboy estate? Hugh has always had his pick of the girls, hasn’t he? A few months ago there were rumors flying around the net that he was going to finally marry Holly, so maybe the break-up is related to that? Of course most of these stories excluded any real revelation that Hefner is still married to Kimberly Conrad, despite the fact that the two separated in 1999. In reality it doesn’t matter if these latest rumors are true or not – the Hefner dynasty will continue as a fantasy playground for generations of men to come. It seems that Hefner has been blessed in some respects. No matter what move he makes, it all turns to … well … you get the idea.
