HP P1505

Many low cost printers don’t have the speed and quality of higher end models. The HP p1505 printer is inexpensive and still maintains speed and decent quality while printing. It even has extra features that are hard to find on other printers in its price range. Also, it’s a laser printer meaning that it’s not only fast but it also uses less ink than typical inkjet printers. It may be the printer you need for your home office or business.

Speed is the main feature of the HP p1505. Most inexpensive printers are very slow and can take a long time to print something as simple as a text document. The HP p1505 can print 25 pages a minute of text and 10 pages a minute of full color photos. It also takes no time to warm up. It will start printing the moment it’s assigned a task. It can even do two-sided printing, a feature that is hardly found on cheap printers. There’s no need to worry about refilling paper every five minutes either. The paper tray can hold up to 250 sheets and the output tray holds 150 sheets which is much more than most low end printers.

The HP p1505 does have its drawbacks. Despite the printer being low cost itself, typically sold in stores for around $200 the ink for it can be expensive. Ink cartridges print between 1000 and 2000 pages and cost about $70 each. Many other printers will be able to print that much for half the cost although it takes them longer. The pages it prints aren’t even the best quality. They look fine for small business needs unless your small business involves imagery. Picture quality is poor compared to other printers on the market although those printers can’t be found at this low price.

This printer isn’t designed for large office use despite its speed in printing. It’s meant to be fast and the printer itself is cheap but constant use can end up costing you more money than other printers would. It’s great for the occasional print out not only on paper but also on envelopes and postcards. This printer will serve will for someone looking to print quickly on occasion, otherwise a different printer would be a better choice.
